did you try the Ruger 22/45 or the standard type grip Ruger .22 cal pistol? There's a world of difference between the two as far as I'm concerned. The Ruger 22/45 was designed to mimick the standard 1911 grip, and more closely resembles the single stack grip firearms I have owned than any other .22 cal pistol on the market. On the other hand, the standard Ruger .22 cal pistol grips having the exaggerated angle are rather uncomfortable to me.

Ruger 22/45!

This model has a grip angle/grip feel that most closely resembles most single stack larger caliber handguns..... particularly 1911 grip style. The Rugers generally shoot poa/poi right out of the box, are generally extremely reliable, very durable, and easy to care for (don't let the whiners talk you into believing they are difficult to strip for cleaning). The 22/45 in basic black is affordable, and will last a lifetime of heavy use.
