Re: March 2009 Applications
Online status changed Monday, Plastic arrived Thursday...just in time to take my wife out to dinner with a 'friend'. I noted the "unlicensed carry is a felony" sign beside the door, smiled, and walked in a happier man!

Re: March 2009 Applications
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

I'd say 'bout time, but that is pretty obvious!
Time to start watching the mailbox, not the web site!

Re: March 2009 Applications
There's nothing like 6 weeks for them to get back around to my application...back to 'processing' today. I ended up sending them the requested info 3 times.CDH wrote:"application Incomplete"
Guess what? If you fill out the application form with previous arrest history, residence, etc. by hand and then pay online, you have to WAIT until they send you your packet and send in that application form! They won't take the handwritten form that has the EXACT same info on it!!!
What a farce of a department. I guess my clock is officially reset.![]()

Now I see that others that took the class and sent in their application around the same time I did are getting their plastic...

Progress...I'm now "Processing Application"CDH wrote:I sent in a printed copy of the online payment receipt with it's "trace #" and my personal information. If they can't link it all up with that, they need to be fired...which is beside the point, I know!DrinkRaiderade wrote:CDH-
You may want to call them, as the application number on the packet that you sent them and the packet that you mailed in are different and unique. They may have to mail you another PIN for the packet you mailed in, or they may need to "link" the applications in some way. Your PIN is tied to the Application Number that they mailed you, not the application that you mailed in.![]()
I sent an email to my local state congresscritter and one of his lackey's called me back today. He said he had called DPS and they promised to check on it and call me with info.I'm not holding my breath, but at least I got a favorible response from my congressman.

Re: March 2009 Applications
So how long do you wait before you start rattling their cage?
I just checked today and my status is still "Packet mailed to app" and my return receipt from sending my packet in is dated March 10th!
I used the packet given out from the instructor for my submittal, paid online and sent in my receipt from that with the packet to show payment. I got the DPS packet (with PIN) a couple of days after I sent the instructor supplied packet off!
March 10th to April 24th and my online status is still not "processing".
This is frustrating...
