For what it's worth, the replacement CHL for the address change took 21 days from the moment I requested and paid online for it until it arrived in my mailbox Tuesday, October 9th.

Like so many others before me have stated, it would really depend on place and time. There would be times I would, and times I wouldn't. For example, if the area I was visiting would be considered (by me at least) a place where I might find myself a target, then no, of course I wouldn't (I would muc...

Yes, the CHL CoA is $25, but for a DL it's only $10. Not quite sure why that extra $15 is needed for CHLs, as I' sure they both use the same materials and both are no doubt generated by the same equipment, from a similar database, etc. and cost the same to mail out. The only justification I can thin...

Change of Address

I don't know how long it will take to get the replacement, but I just filed and paid dearly for a new card yesterday due to my recent change of address. It's nice that the web site allows you to add a comment as to what changes you would like to see, so I eagerly mentioned that it would be better if...

I got in on this thread late (and it's been ages, no... too long... since I've dropped by TCHL Forum), but as my signature has always indicated it's pretty easy to see where I stand on this issue. Just thought I would add my 2c's.

sparx, Yes I could ask S&W, but it is $30.00 for the information. I though I would ASK the good people in the forum. They are good people. Ouch!!! I didn't know they would charge two arms for that info! The very nice lady at Ruger, and the also very nice lady at Colt both provided me with that ...

I show on that page that for the 19-5, the first year was 1982 and was when they eliminated the cylinder counterbore. I of course wouldn't know for sure, but am just trying to help out and learn a bit for myself.

Cheers!

The closest thing I found on Google (though I didn't spend that much time looking since I was on break) was a link on THR that put your gun's manufacture approximately in the mid-80's or so, though you could always write S&W and ask.

And it's not only a great tool for demonstrating how a Glock operates, but it's also fantastic in helping to explain to another how a semiautomatic pistol works in general as well, especially since you can remove or view cut-aways of many of the components. I spent more than a few minutes attempting...

Re: Here we go again....

I guess this will be the next war cry of the anti's. Ban hollow points so if you have to shoot someone in self defense, the full metal jacket bullet will go through the bad guy and kill a innocent bystander. Makes about as much sense as anything else they come up with. Actually, after thinki...
