Yep. Don't get discouraged. I live in a town just outside the northwest city limit of Austin and was one of the lucky recipients from this past weekend to have their application completed. I just checkwed my mailbox today and my plastic finally came! I sort of thought it would be laminated but at least it isn't just a piece of paper (I fish and paddle a lot so it will likely get wet). I will be going to a high school football game tonight so I won't be carrying but you can bet I will be starting tomorrow! God bless y'all and hopefully this topic can be closed soon!

Thanks rawb and joe! I am really hoping I get my plastic in the mail before I leave for a trip to South Texas the day after Labor Day.

As for the wally walk, will likely do one of them, too. Not too keen on eating their nachos or using their commode though. Is the reason they are in that order is one causes the other?

I checked my status online this evening at it read those sweet words every CHL applicant wants to see:

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

And it only took them 152 days! My application was received on March 31 and I received my pin on May 21. I hope the rest of you that are still waiting get yours soon!
