Re: Do You Wait Until Your Car/Truck Batt Dies?
I run them till they die and then if they happen to be under warranty, I'll get them replaced at the dealership. If they are out of warranty, I pick one up at Walmart or Auto-Zone. Maybe I've just had really bad luck, but dealer batteries stink and I've yet to have a new car in the past 15 years or ...

Re: College Instructor Teaches Wrong Course
My first point was, I remember how hard it was when a class was taught by a GTA, and the GTA spoke English as a second language. If that is the case, no wonder they did bad. However, if your really a straight A student, introduction to chemistry and general chemistry should not be that different. C...

Re: Texas Gun Talk Hacked
TGT was hacked? How did that eTrade commercial with the baby go. "This is my shocked face."
I stopped going there last year after the 3rd or 4th successful hack. I just got tired of having to change my password every other week on all the various web forums I use this ID on.

Re: Starbucks folds to antis
CEO of Starbucks just stated he doesn't want CC weapons in his stores. This was on FOX news with Neil Cavuto. Yep, I saw the same thing. When Neil pushed him on how the workers would know if someone had a gun and if they were going to frisk everyone in the store, he basically said they weren't goin...

Re: Two Boxes per Caliber @ Academy in Webster
The academy at Crenshaw and BW8 has had tons of 40 and 45 the past few times I was in there. They even had a UMC 250 pack in 40 a couple of nights ago around 8PM. However, they never have 9. For rifle rounds, I'm not sure what they are doing. The shelves are full, but it almost seems like whoever is...

Re: HOW OLD SHOULD A CHILD BE TO HAVE A JOB ?
Like others, I had an afternoon paper route when I was 11 or 12 (7th grade maybe). I kept that for a few years till I started playing sports in high school and had to quit. At the time, I was making about $90 a month and thought it was a fortune. My Junior year in high school, I got a job at Furr's ...

Re: I THINK WE DODGED A BULLET
For heavens sakes......next go around can we have a libertarian or a conservative in the running? I am so tired of voting for democrat lite. That's only going to happen if Texas gets moved up in the primaries (hint, hint RNC). Till then, we will just get to coronate whatever RINO is left standing a...

Carters Country uses them too. Although if GE is exiting the gun business, they may not be using them for long.

Re: Federal background check "compromise"
There's still too much ambiguity to the bullet list for me. I'd like to see the actual text of the amendment. Things I'd also like to see clarified. * The family transfer section * what constitutes an online sale * how the bill prohibits a national registry. It's nice he says it does, but show me th...

I didn't think it was too bad of an episode. I'm glad Andrea's gone. I had been FFW'ing through her scenes already. Not sure why they gave her a gun, Michone was in there ready to cut her head off once she turned. I wonder when we'll start seeing scenes of Carl torturing puppies and cats. I didn't s...

Re: Piers Morgan coming to Houston gun shop to broadcast
A few comments and questions: The owner of Tactical Firearms said anybody could buy the necessary parts to turn an AR-15 into a fully automatic weapon. Can you do this and would it be legal? He made it sound like it would be a easy thing to do. He also made it sound like an ordinary person could ju...

I had planned to vote for Cruz and Stockton. However, when I got to the new consolidate poling place this afternoon around 1PM, the line was out the door and down the side of the building. I went back just before 6 and the line was now out the door, down the side of the building and then looped back...

Re: Any suggestions for a small-framed woman's first rifle?
like others have said; 22 to start and then you need to figure out what she wants to hunt and then attempt to buy a caliber that will cover it. From what I have seen, most manufactures sell "youth" sized 243's that will work fine for deer, hogs and varmints. If she wants to go to larger ga...

Re: Door To Door Meat Salesmen
Just moments ago, these these two guys come by knocking on my front door and wanting to know if I want to buy some steaks. I live in a small town with a population just a little over 300 people. I am always on the defensive and a tad bit skeptical when someone I don't know arrives at my home knocki...
