Rifles... hoo boy. They got me started into guns, which eventually culminated in my arrival here, with that little plastic card.

I'm an "old rifle nut." While I can appreciate, and enjoy (and indeed, own a few) a good modern rifle, I like the older guns, and loading for them. My favorite rifle is a toss-up between a Swiss K-31 and an ancient Remington Rolling Block. The Swiss is three times as old as I am, plus change; the Remington is double that, plus 16 years. Both rifles shoot as well today as the day they were made; indeed, the Swiss is near-target grade.

I'm currently considering a trade for an old Krag. I hear those rifles have some of the smoothest actions around. Yeah, it'll be one more caliber to load for, but after the Remington Rolling Block, it's no big deal.
