Re: Napolitano on ‘Rightwing Extremists’ A Case for Gun Ban

this is so blatantly easy to refute with fundamentally sound retorts, that it is child's play. So a few groups of "extremists" may or may not be planning to use certain weapons to overthrow the government - so let's BAN ALL SUCH WEAPONS FROM EVERYONE .... makes about as much sense as banning all airplanes, banning all fertilizer, or strip-searching every person of Middle Eastern descent (oh wait, that would be "profiling").

but I do like how I am now officially considered by my government to be a "right-wing extremist" because I am stockpiling some ammunition before they get a chance to ban it or tax it to death.

I am actually feeling better about the overall state of the gun rights debate in this country. The anti-gunners are grasping at straws and showing publicly the extreme nature of their illegitimate arguments. They can't even come up with a sound argument anymore. At least the "it will reduce crime" argument of 15 years ago sounded reasonable. The current anti-gun arguments (to save Mexico and to prevent another Oklahoma City bombing) sound like paranoid delusions.
