Deadeye, can you elaborate on this a bit for an admitted H&K neophyte? What makes this recoil system "recoil less" so to speak? I've shot a rented H&K USP-C in .45 and LOVED it (one of the easiest shooting .45s I've ever shot). I'm guessing this recoil system may have had a lot to do with that.DEADEYE1964 wrote:I have several H&K handguns. I think what makes them superior is the recoil system. Take one aprat and you will see what I mean. My USP .40 and .45 have less recoil than all my other handguns, even my 9mm.

Re: HK or Walther?
This is one of those broad questions that really needs a lot of follow up info about you and what you're looking for in a gun. Your question revolves merely around brand names, and each of us has brands we like and dislike. For me, all three brands HK, Sig, Walther are top-notch and I doubt you'd go wrong with anything from any of them. But you REALLY need to at least hold each potential gun in your hands and find out if you like it and it fits your hands well. Better yet, fire each gun as a range rental.
But, to play to your question, if I had to rank those three brands it would be a tie between HK and Sig with Walther coming in 3rd. But again you won't go wrong with any of them. HKs and Sigs are pricey, with Walther being slightly less expensive usually.
You really need to try them out for yourself.
