Great post and link SIA. This reminds me of a jewelry store owner in Houston with whom my mother did some business (sold/traded in some of my deceased grandma's old gold jewelry). My mom wanted to introduce me to this man because he carrys a cocked-n-locked 1911 and two spare mags openly on his belt while in his store. She thought I'd find that "cool", which of course I did. :thumbs2:

As to the NYC jeweler, I agree with the mild criticism, but hey they guy showed GUTS and defended his life and his property valiantly. Agree completely that this is why I ALWAYS carry at least one reload for any gun - usually two for a small gun like a 5-shot revolver or my 6-shot LCP. Also agree that if after shots are fired there is a "lull" in the action, go ahead and reload so you know you have a fresh full firearm to fend off any counter attack.

Anyway, again great link and glad that ol' Marine made it out unscathed. :patriot:
