I wonder why no one makes and sells inexpensive 10/22 receivers. As much as that lil rifle is modified, you'd think someone would sell "stripped receivers" like with AR-15s. A google search finds only expensive ($180 at Brownells) and ridiculous ($400 and up for a Volquartson at MidwayUSA) ... you can walk into any Wal Mart or Academy and buy a full rifle for $180-$200. ..... yeah, I probably just answered my own question - supply and demand). Makes you wonder what kind of extraordinary good deals you could get assembling 10/22s from discarded stock parts (barrels, stocks, trigger groups) if you could just find a supply of receivers
