I prefer combo locks because I may not be able to get to a key when I need to get to my gun.
For those Secure-It boxes, buy the version with the key lock then switch it out with a "Combi Cam"combination lock
website here: http://www.combi-cam.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
available for purchase at amazon.com and various RV stores etc.
usally the 5/8-inch version is what you need for secure-it boxes etc.
I've also installed these locks on the little metal pistol lockers sold at Academy
like this one http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=c ... 03254-9005" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or this one http://www.factory-express.com/Sentinel ... -40071.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am curious to see what has worked well for others for a truck or min-van without a trunk.
They also have a "universal" version (and a drink holder/cover for it) for vehicles that they don't make a custom one for.
