Sure looked like a fun challenge on both counts and again Dustin impresses but then Chris barely topped him.
uh .. actually Alex lost elimination and went home. Gary - who defeated Mike in elimination a few episodes back - is one of the Final 4 remaining

good Final 4 too, exactly as I thought it would/should be since it was down to about 7 or 8 left (of course, Mike had to do the zombie thing to make it happen). I really like Gary a lot (just a great overall personality, temperment, focus etc - kind of guy you'd want on your team), Dustin is scary talented and a super nice kid, and Chris is soft-spoken but could easily win this whole thing. And as mentioned earlier, Mike can be a machine when he's hitting on all cylinders.

Re: Top Shot 3

Sara's grip on the M&P was horrible. There was at least a half inch gap between top of her hand and underside of the beavertail. Methinks this contributed mightily to her shortcomings. Can't control the recoil if you don't have a firm, high grip.

I am sick of the "token female competitors " always going home early in the last two seasons. The need to get Jessie Abate or Julie Golob on the show

THIS

I frankly enjoyed the team-picking method this season (winners on this team; losers on that team). And they obviously were more careful this time in not only picking a balanced group of competitors (military, law enforcement, competition, "outdoorsman" etc), but also paring them up in the initial head-to-head competition to decide teams so you wouldn't have two cops on same squad etc.

This should all HOPEFULLY avoid the pathetic ending to last season's show when all the military guys conspired to set up the final 4 they "wanted", as well as the constant bickering between cliques within each team.

That "stuff" became very tiring and annoying very quickly last season and detracted from the show immensely.

That said, so far I haven't noticed any real "superstars" after one episode (perhaps the talent pool is wearing thin?), but that too could make for more interesting viewing and less prima dona "stuff"
