Re: Anita Perry uninjured in accident in vintage bomber
There is also a B25 at Georgetown Airport. I used to fly from the flying school that keeps it hangared. It's quite a beast when you hear it running. I love those old WWII aircraft. When I lived in the UK the RAF's Battle of Britain Squadron was based nearby and would fly over our house regularly dur...

Re: Walther PPK .380
My Bersa Thunder 380 has never had a malfunction. +1 I think if you are looking at PPK style pistols discounting the Bersa is a serious mistake. Mine has never had a failure of any kind. I compared with the PPK and SIG 232 before I bought it and found the Bersa a better option for my requirements (...

I think all they need is one of the listed items.
I just sent copies of my Permanent Resident Card and had no problems.

Re: Filing an 'X' on a bullet.. My father's tale. Reason?
My grandfather served in the British Army in the first world war. As an underage volunteer one of the task he was given was doctoring the ammo. They had him take each round and strike it with a hammer bullet down on a brick until the point was flattened. He called this a dum-dum round. Sounds like a...

Re: Anyone on the Sig Forum?
I'm a member of the SIG Forum. I don't post their much. I don't know what's up with their member approvals. I think you have to use a non-internet based email account (that is not yahoo, gmail, hotmail etc) such as one linked to your ISP. Seems like nonsense to me, not sure why they have that rule. ...

Re: Marlin 60
I bought a Model 60 in stainless from a pawn shop recently. I think I posted some pics at the time. It's the long barrel version but with the shorter mag tube, soI can confirm that they do exist! I'm very pleased with it, lots of fun!!

Re: For any of you motorcycle enthusiast!
I recently decided that my 82 Ironhead project was not going to be on the road soon enough. Progress was slow due to a year out of work. So after a chat with my credit union I bought a 2008 FXD last week.

Ha! I was thinking of the XD at the time of writing. I'm a bit cautious about replacing the wife. In my experience they malfunction more often.USA1 wrote:Woman?neilp wrote: I would still have it but my ex sold it when I was out of town.... I intend to get another to replace it at some point.

Re: glock vs xd-m
I used to own an XD 9mm and have rented Glocks several times. I can't shoot a Glock well. I have small hands and I found the XD to be one of the few double stack pistols that I do not find the grip size to be a problem. I also found the grip angle to be awkward on Glocks. The XD was a great pistol, ...

Re: Non US Citizen w CHL buying a gun Q?
Most Brits to some extent or another have an inate concern about firearms. Even though I shot them often enough with the military in the UK I was much younger then. So my first trip to a gun store was tinged with a little apprehension. When something is drilled into you as a kid it's amazing how log...

UTI: Is that Winchester ammo marked SuperX HV and comes in red plastic boxes like the CCI Mini-Mags? I have some of that in my ammo stash and was going to try it next time I'm at the range.
