My co-worker had his 16-17yo son attending UTD for final 2 years of HS, living in a dorm and attending classes, getting his HS degree and earning credit towards college so how is that any different?poppo wrote:Because apparently there are some community colleges that also have high school students attending some classes. So they wanted the extra time to figure out how to deal with it. I'm assuming (but could be wrong) that it has something to do with the GFSZA.suthdj wrote:so why do community colleges have to wait until 2017?

Can you expand on a possible Geographic location?Charles L. Cotton wrote:;nobius wrote:Will there be a post-mortem on all the bills passed and an analysis of what they mean? Particularly interested in knife rights and SB 11's last minute changes.
Yes. I've been asked to hold do something I've never done before, but it sounds like a good idea. I've been planning to announcer the new initiative this Tuesday, but the suggestion was to do it at a dinner event at a location that seats up to 200 people and record it. (This was brought up after I posted my invitation to have a debate/town hall meeting.) That way we can have the initiative explained and take questions from the floor. We can also talk about this legislative session. Then, all of this will be available on the Internet.
If there's enough interest, I'll put it together. However it is announced, I really excited about the new initiative and the difference it can make in grassroots activism. Hopefully Texans all over the State will share my enthusiasm.
Chas.
