If you want to add stuff the keymods are where its at. They're lighter and slimmer than the picatinny rails. Another plus is you don't have to choose between buying rail covers to protect your hands and the rails on the unused part or deal with sharp edges digging in. Plus they allow you to mount stuff in places besides 12, 6, 9, and 3. If I ever need more mounting options I'm going to go the keymod route.

Mine is just your bare bones Colt with magpul furniture. I'm keeping mine as a light handy carbine without much in the way of frills. I like the Magpul forearms since all I'm going to do is add a flashlight. The only other things I'm going to do is add a medium BCM charging handle and either an Aimpoint or a Trijicon. I like the stock trigger on mine. For a sling I'm using a VCAS sling. Right now the optic isn't a priority.

When I put a flashlight on mine I'm putting it on the forearm. I prefer to keep my receiver area clear. Otherwise looking good.
