Re: TX: Houston has its own anti gun protest at City Hall
Houston is blue. We recently lost the west side that wasBill Archer’s old district that was American and voted 90% conservative until the past congressional election. Cruz, I think, even lost Houston. A city taken over by Blue state yankee transplants and foreigners. If we lose Texas we lose it all....

Re: TX: Men with guns scare off would be kidnapper of woman walking her dog in the Galleria area
I remember when you almost had to be rich to shop at the Galleria Mall. It was the largest, nicest and most expensive mall in Houston. And this was only 10 years ago right after I moved from Houston. 3 years ago I was visiting and dropped my wife and mother in law at the Galleria telling them how gr...

Re: A (non) shooting at Memorial City Mall
Memorial City Mall, I thought, was still one if the last nice good malls in Houston. 3 years ago I took my wife to The Galleria mall telling her what a great place it was. Dropped her and her mom off and she called me within 15 minutes and told me to come get her because she didn’t feel safe. I went...

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?
Depends on what you mean by "de facto danger." Democrats will always take any anti-gun step they can, up to and including legislating confiscation (let's not get into the difficulties of effecting confiscation). Republicans are the only bulwark, and when they decide to relent on some poin...

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?
I like to think of it more in in the terms of "Lesser of two evils" I get that. But that argument, over the years, has really shown to be a non-solution. Lesser of two evils is still an evil. With the Democrats our guard is always up and they get nowhere, with Republicans we trust them to...

Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?
When Democrats are in charge, the NRA is: “From my cold dead hands!” and “any gun any time anywhere” and “good guy with a gun” and other Republicans generally follow these battlecries and refuse to give in. When Republicans are in charge, Republicans gradually push for “universal background checks”,...

What store in Houston sells Black Powder?
I've tried Bass Pro Shop, Carter Country, Collectors Firearms, Academy. Pyrodex, 777 or some kind of substitute is all I ever find. What store sells actual Black Powder? (Goex or whatever). I'm wanting to reload .45 Colt and .44-40

Re: Can it be?: We may lose more gun rights under Trump than Obama?
Trump may just be playing chess with the Rats but this kind of talk makes me really uneasy!!! “Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said. Yeah I caught that too in reference to mental health. This stuff right here is why I was so against voting for Trump. I still did it becaus...

Re: Bump stop ban signed today
I wondered what a bump stock is and how it works so: After watching this, I don't see myself needing or wanting one. If this video is real, these things should fall under the same restrictions as do full automatics, IMO. Wow. You have no idea what the 2nd amendment is about do you? The NFA act is a...

Re: Can it be?: We may lose more gun rights under Trump than Obama?
Did I just hear Trump correctly? He wants to remove the conceal carry reciprocity from the background bill and make it on its own? He says the bill won't pass with it in. Rep. Rutherford...require buyers to have a permit to buy a gun from anyone...even private sales. Trump...that's a good idea...th...

Re: Can it be?: We may lose more gun rights under Trump than Obama?
Once you give a dog a bone, he wants another bone. Agree 100%! Why give up anything. What's next? 20 or 30 round mags? Are some of us willing to give those up too? Because I'm not...and won't. If I don't need a bumpstock then I don't need 30 round magazines. Whatever. They can vote for unconstituti...

Re: Can it be?: We may lose more gun rights under Trump than Obama?
Most of what I'm hearing here amounts to excuse making, compromising with the enemy, political double talk and defensiveness (even to the point of deleting dissenting comments). We are acting like we are in the minority and are barely hanging on and are in the worst time every in terms of gun rights...
