They told me it was mailed on Friday...
The postmark says Tuesday.

You all are making me sad. This means mine will probably not be here either,as I got my 'app complete' on sunday morning :(

I called the DPS lady, and she's blaming the post office.... amazing :roll:

Actually no, nothing beats the slowness of that process...

My wife's took just under 18 months from original application submission to actual Green Card Receipt.
Then her 3-year renewal took 1 year, 3 months...

HOWEVER, at least they issue a temporary work authorization card in the meantime! That only took 2 months to get...

I'm with the crowd that says we should be issued a temporary carry permit within like 15 days until the permanent one arrives :thumbs2:

"Assault Rifle" was a term invented by The Brady bunch & Co to make them seem 'scary' and insinuate that they have no purpose then mass killing of people.

Did you live in different places during the past 5 years?

Individual background checks can vary in how long it takes. (Especially in Harris County! They apparently have only 1 Trooper doing it for the entire city of Houston and surrounding areas :roll:)
Do you, perhaps, have a more 'colorful' background that they might need to look through for a little longer to verify you aren't disqualified?
