Well, someone said that with the $500 membership, it's a $10 'range fee'gwashorn wrote: Basically, if I was not a member and/or was a member what is the price break point of number of times used between the two and where the cost/value line crosses.
And without a membership, it's $12 an hour.
I'm assuming the $10 range fee covers you for pretty much all day? If I'm mistaken here, please let me know.
Here's some numbers, based on the above numbers/assumptions at which the membership is cheaper than paying hourly, based on your average time spent per trip:
1 Hour Average: 251 Times per year
2 Hour Average: 36 Times per year
3 Hour Average: 20 Times per year
4 Hour Average: 14 Times per year
5 Hour Average: 7 Times yer pear
6 Hour Average: 5 Times per year
Any number of times less than the number above, it is cheaper to pay by the hour, and not get the membership.
Obviously PSC is a MUCH better deal... but this math just goes to show ya, even a $500 membership fee pays itself back pretty quick if the discount is deep enough, and you use it enough.
