I'd be concerned that someone might carry out of pressure from someone else and not truly feel comfortable with the idea. That seems to just create a more dangerous situation...

I try to focus on not getting into a position to get ticketed in the first place. ;)

But seriously, the only time I ever get out of a ticket is when my girlfriend is in the car with me. When she is there, I always get a warning.

Otherwise, I get tickets, period, CHL or not.

My CHL is in a holder with my license. I turn over both, even if not carrying. I've never been harassed and always been treated with respect. As I see it, we're on the same side. I want to be upfront and honest with the officer and want them to do the same with me.

I carry a Sig P229 in .40 cal currenty - though it's a bit big during the summer.
