Re: California Salon Shooting Rampage
So this brings up an interesting question for me. How much convincing do we do with our SOs to get them to consider carrying. I'd be concerned that someone might carry out of pressure from someone else and not truly feel comfortable with the idea. That seems to just create a more dangerous situation...

Re: Stops 2 Tickets 0 since my CHL
I try to focus on not getting into a position to get ticketed in the first place. ;)
But seriously, the only time I ever get out of a ticket is when my girlfriend is in the car with me. When she is there, I always get a warning.
Otherwise, I get tickets, period, CHL or not.

Re: USCCA Emails Won't Cease!
As matter of fact, USCCA is NOT a true associatio as member have no legal rights, voting rights, or even representation. It is simply a targeted marketing scheme to maximize profits and reduce costs. That's a good point. It's not an association. It's a private business for profit. I know they have ...

Re: IWB vs. OWB
Always wear IWB. I wish I could be comfortable with OWB, but too paranoid of a lack of concealment. I also don't wear a holster that doesn't unclip. Sometimes it is necessary to enter an establishment that doesn't allow carry, I'd rather unclip and lock away than remove it from my belt or walk aroun...

Re: USCCA Emails Won't Cease!
Set up a filter to reply so they get all the emails you get or if you like I can write a program to send them emails every 5 seconds asking to be removed. Yes, I considered the latter, but decided I didn't want any of that money people are putting in for this new membership to be used to take me to...

WTB: Sig P229/P228 FTF DFW
I'm interested in either a SIG P229 (prefer .40, but 9mm may work as well) or a P228.
Can do FTF in DFW.

Re: Renewal bull
I, too, recently submitted for my renewal. I also followed the checklist they sent verbatim. I then received the letter stating a copy of my DD-214 was required. I obliged and am concerned I will have a lapse as my license will expire middle of this month. I can understand renewed fingerprints. Part...

Re: Declare or not declare that is the question.
My CHL is in a holder with my license. I turn over both, even if not carrying. I've never been harassed and always been treated with respect. As I see it, we're on the same side. I want to be upfront and honest with the officer and want them to do the same with me.

USCCA Emails Won't Cease!
I've had it with USCCA email marketing. Their latest campaign is ridiculous and it is precisely the reason I will not renew my membership. I have asked to be removed from their email marketing list, but have since been ignored. It is simple to delete the emails or even put a filter in place to toss ...

Live in DFW area - east in Rockwall.

I carry a Sig P229 in .40 cal currenty - though it's a bit big during the summer.
Anyway... good to be here looking forward to meeting ya'll.
