IMO, if the prosecutor is smart, he'll hang Apperson on the single shot.

Think about it; if you're shooting through a concealing object at someone you really think is going to shoot you, why would you only fire one shot?

And then call 911 and say you think you just shot GZ. He claims he wasn't following him and it was just a coincidence. Yeah, right!

You contradict yourself. How could he be wrong in getting out of his vehicle if no one was in eminent danger? He did not know getting out of his vehicle was putting himself in danger. If he had thought it would he probably wouldn't have gotten out. If he thought he was in danger he would have called 911 instead of the non-emergency line.

Does this mean that every time I park my truck and there is someone walking around within sight of me that I should wait until they are out of sight so the sight of me getting out of my truck doesn't make them feel threatened?

Rachel Jeantel also said during her Piers Morgan interview that TM thought GZ might be gay and was giving him a whooping before he could rape him. Since GZ is not gay and was not about to rape anyone, that makes what TM did a hate crime. She also said that GZ should have just taken his whooping. Who just takes their whooping?

Others have already covered the civil immunity question.

There will always be things that anyone can find about what someone did wrong after the fact. That whole hindsight and Monday morning quarterbacking thing. At the time, GZ wasn't even afraid. If he were he would have called 911 instead of the non-emergency line and probably wouldn't have gotten out of the truck.

Are you asserting that there's reasonable doubt that Trayvon committed aggravated battery on Zimmerman?

I think so because we really don't know who started it. George could have started it and then Trayvon began to put a whooping and him. We just don't know. Given the testimony about George's physical prowess, that's not very likely, but we just don't know.

I do agree, though, that his acquittal does not necessarily mean that Trayvon was guilty.

I don't remember it if it's in here somewhere. When GZ saw TM walking through the neighborhood and decided to call the police, was he "on duty" as a neighborhood watch or was he just driving by and noticed him? Does it make a difference as far as the whole "shouldn't be armed in the neighborhood watch" thing goes?
