Repeal the Federal Gun Free Zone law. Encourage, but do not require teachers and other district employees to obtain CHL and carry. Parents and other with CHLs are no problem, are they? They don't shoot up banks, grocery stores, auto repair shops, or even government offices, do they.

Recall Keith Morgan in the TV studios a week or so ago. No one was killed or injured in the making of that interview.

The whole idea of gun free zones is a glaring example of liberal lunacy. Why not just get rid of it?
We don't need to repeal the GFZA. It would be nice, but there already is an exemption for those with a CHL from the state in which the school is located. State law prohibits a CHL from carrying inside the school without permission from the school. All that needs to happen is either for schools to allow it as they are beginning to do or states need to make it okay unless posted with a 30.06 sign in Texas' case.

:iagree: It's great that they have made the decision. I hope they allow them to keep them on their bodies. If they do not and something bad happens that they are unable to respond to because the gun is locked in a safe somewhere it will be terrible. I guess if they have them in safes that are bolted down in the approved teachers' classroom that would be better than not in the classroom.
