I avoid answering the question about having a gun on me. But I don't think it hurts to tell someone who asks I have a CHL. I don't run around bringing it up.
That's a very good point. I have probably been asked less than a dozen times in the almost dozen years I have had mine. I can't think of one that asked me if I was currently carrying. They wanted to know how hard it was to get, how difficult the shooting portion was, or if a lot of places were off-limits.

Re: Factory sportswear versus concealed means concealed

I do not think a photography vest or fanny pack screams "shot me first." I do think that most of the sheeple who even notice my fanny pack just think I'm a dork. So what! When I did wear it I also wore a large t-shirt that hung partially over the FP. I was still in the frame of mind that I didn't want to stick out. No one ever asked me about it if they even noticed.

Either of these items might be a deterrent similar to OC to a BG paying attention. However, how many of those actually pay attention to a random customer that is not their target?

A vest you say? - Egads, how inappropriate - uttered in a very Thurston J. Howell III voice.

Fanny pack or anything close to one - pish posh, once agaaaaain, I'm far too astute and stylish for such frippery.

I say old darling, anything I might choose to don for concealed carry is always quite the right thing, sniff...

"But, you there, peasant, cease and desist with your choices - whatever they happen to be, they'll be wrong"
The photographers vest never worked for me, but I did have a nice fanny pack designed for CC until one of my puppies chewed the belt strap off. If I can ever get it fixed up I'll rock it again.

Not me I am saving it to stick on an anti's car, just to mess with his head.
That is greatness! There's a parent's car at our school that has all kinds of liberal bumper stickers on it. That would be great to slip an NRA sticker on there and see how long it lasts.
hmmmm, maybe we can work something out are you anywhere Keller.
Nah, I'll figure something out.

It's been like that for me for several years. Whenever I see somebody wearing one I figure they're carrying. It just seem out of place and stands out a little more than regular clothes.

Re: Factory sportswear versus concealed means concealed

I might wear something like that to the range, but not anywhere else. I've put any bumper stickers or advertisements for anything on any of my vehicles.
