I did not know the cause of "slide bite" was that elusive. I guess that's one less thing I need to learn.DevilDawg wrote:Excaliber, thanks as the second one described it most accurately thanks.Excaliber wrote:Slide bite occurs in one of two ways, both of which are due to operator decisions and / or actions.DevilDawg wrote:
I dislike glocks because they force you to use an other than natural grip, slide bite because the grip is too short, and mags pinch me while shooting brass directly back into my face. Otherwise I am sure they are a fine firearms. I just happen to prefer the XD series of polymer pistols.. But thanks for making assumptions and snide remarks based on years of experience..
You can review the causes and possible solutions here and here.
I will refrain from responding to the personal attacks from the valued members as it won't benefit the thread or add anything of value to the board as a whole. As to the rest I wish you the best and enjoy the products. I can't help those that have no desire to learn.

So it was Smith & Wesson and I was not aware of their pact during the previous AWB.DevilDawg wrote:Yes, Smith & Wesson and here is a link from the nra records. If they had to face the same firestorm then that the internet has put on Magpul now, there might have been a little less celebration by the Clinton team.C-dub wrote:I'm sorry. I can't put together who S&W is in your post. The only thing I can think of is Smith & Wesson. If that's it I don't understand how you're applying it.

To the resolute supporters of magpul:
If a person can't see the expert level marketing spin being pulled over their eyes by Magpul now, you are better parted with your money to prevent you from aiding and abeting any further as the battle continues for our Uninfringed Rights.
All that aside, your animosity towards MagPul seems unfounded. You don't like them and I get that, but they didn't create the mess that their marketing department is taking advantage of. They are not gouging their prices and are trying to meet our demand for their excellent product. And you don't like Glocks. Okay. I do and shoot well with mine. I don't disparage any of the 1911s because I like my Glocks. Your remarks against these company's products remind me people that complain about some radio or television shows they don't like. Because they don't like it they try to convince others that it is worthless and they shouldn't watch it rather than just change the channel and stop worrying about what others are doing that doesn't affect you.
Just like Uncle Joe, et al, that doesn't think anyone has a need for an AR or a 30 round magazine. "Buy a shotgun" Buy what you like and shoot what you like, but stop telling me that an excellent proven product is no good just because you don't like it.

They would ill-advised not to see how harsh this has been on a plastic gear maker.
I still have zero use for Magpul products, and to me he is still spinning the stir stick in the kool aide. However I concede he is atleast heading in the right direction now.
