SOA was a television show purely for entertainment. History has done more for the reputation of many certain motorcycle gangs over the last 50 years than any fictional television show.
Some of Jeffery Dahmer's neighbors said they had nothing but good interactions with him. People are always saying how shocked they are about one person or another after some horrific event and they would never have suspected anything like that from them.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco
The law doesn't have to be changed. It is already illegal for gang members to carry a firearm.fickman wrote:I just caught up with the thread and will quick hit a few unrelated topics that have been brought up:
The only place I've seen CHL mentioned was an interview with an anonymous informant who said several clubs have encouraged non-felons to get CHLs so that they can carry without being harassed. A documentary I saw years ago said that there are cases where a legal carrier might carry multiple firearms so that he can distribute them to the felons in an emergency. All is believable, it's a pretty obvious tactical solution to an outsider. The other was an undercover LEO asking for the CHL law to be updated to prevent felons and members of known gangs from carrying. I get the logic, but that's a slippery slope akin to the no-fly list.
PC §46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an
offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his
or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
(1) on the person’s own premises or premises under the person’s control; or
(2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned
by the person or under the person’s control.
(a-1) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or
recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun in a motor vehicle or
watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person’s control at any time in
which:
(1) the handgun is in plain view; or
(2) the person is:
(A) engaged in criminal activity, other than a Class C misdemeanor that is a
violation of a law or ordinance regulating traffic or boating;
(B) prohibited by law from possessing a firearm; or
(C) a member of a criminal street gang,

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco
This would not surprise me at all. Simple greed in this case, doesn't make sense to me. Having groups like this frequent your business seems like it would drive less dangerous customers away. And if you're relying on gangs to support your business, it's only a matter of time before something like this happens.SewTexas wrote:Abraham wrote:What's up with the manager of TP.
Was he intimidated into welcoming the motorcycle thugs or is he a member or a past member or related in some way to these criminals?
Anyone know?
Thanks!
actually I've heard from several different places that there is speculation that he is somehow involved with one of the gangs.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco
The standard/stock Glock sights are just fine. I also like them. There are, however, better sights available that do work better for different circumstances.

America has been becoming desensitized to the violence in Chicago for decades.bulinm wrote:2 dead and 47 wounded in Chicago this weekend. I bring this up only because no one appears
to want to report this, while this aberration in Waco will be front page for a week.
I think we oughta send the bikers after ISIS.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco
This statement is curious. I wonder they knew in advance.
He also said police have been trying to work with management at Twin Peaks for several weeks but have been thwarted in their efforts to avoid a situation like happened Sunday afternoon.

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco
We all know that early news reports get many things wrong, but the link in the OP does say that no LE or others were injured.
We also know how biased the majority of the media are, but unless any of these folks were openly carrying rifles or shotguns I don't see the link to OC. And as Mooneyham pointed out, OC hasn't even passed yet.
