It sure would! There was a National Reciprocity bill introduced into the U.S. Congress last summer. Unfortunately the bill was killed by a very narrow majority, 63-59 IIRC, or something close to that.

Truer words have never been spake(I just coined a new word, lol), SIA!We should all check reciprocity in advance if travelling out of state, but the minutiae
of every state's carry laws might be hard to nail down.
I'd present both if/when I travel out of state. And I'd darn sure know the gun laws of the state I'm traveling in, because you must abide by the laws of the state you are in. Knowing Texas laws doesn't help you if you are in Oklahoma or New Mexico traveling and carrying. And could get you into a heap of trouble if you are not knowledgeable of their gun laws.
