Re: Taurus PT-917C

Thanks random for chiming in. I couldn't find it earlier. :tiphat:

Take into consideration that the gun weighs, unloaded, 32.2 oz. That's awfully heavy! Wow! :shock: It's sure not appropriate for carry! I have a Ruger P95 and it weighs 27 oz and it's really to heavy for me to carry around all day:

IMO, and this is just my opinion, there are more suitable carry guns out there.

Of course if you're speaking of using it as a house gun only, that's a different matter. But gosh, it's so heavy! :???:

Re: Taurus PT-917C

It's really a nice looking gun: http://wrencoarms.com/ImageDetails.asp?ProductID=135" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lot's of talk about it on the gun forums, if you google Taurus PT917C. It looks similar to a shortened Beretta 92f. It's a discontinued gun from what I've found out.

Check out the Taurus forum: http://www.taurusarmed.net/forums/index ... pic=8462.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I don't know anything about the gun. Perhaps somebody will chime in shortly.

What's the condition of the gun? Blue or Stainless? $350 sounds a little overpriced to me, but here again I know nothing about the gun.
