There is no requirement what so ever for the car dealership to post any "no guns" sign at all. However, IF the dealership wants to put up a no guns sign to attempt to keep guns out of their dealership/lot, and have that sign legally enforcible they MUST put up the 30.06 sign with specific language, size, lettering, etc.Muddauber wrote:Forgive me if this has been discussed before. I am trying to remember if a private business such as a car dealership has to post a 30.06 sign or can it be any sign that says no guns allowed. I could not remember what the law says when on a private business. Thank You.
