Re: ND3 Green Laser Designator

I got the laser designator today and it is a very quality looking unit. I mounted it on my 30.06 scope and of course went out and tested it this evening. I'm very impressed, at 200 yards, in the dead of night, I can clearly see my target and cross hairs of the scope. I have to say that it is a cheap...

ND3 Green Laser Designator

I just ordered a ND3 Green Laser Designator for night hunting hogs, or what ever goes bump in the night. It will mount either on my Ar-15's rail system or on my big scope on my 30.06 and should make for lots of fun; check it out. http://www.lasergenetics.com/nd3-laser-designator.aspx" onclick=&...

Re: Scary Encounter This Morning

Little off topic, but i was wondering when you said you were having trouble on the road, what were you driving? Get yourself a 4x4 with some big ole mud grips :P Funny you should mention that; last year the company decided to go to a lease program for our work trucks and just so happened to save a ...

Re: Scary Encounter This Morning

I carry a cheapo Coleman LED Tactical style light, that is bright enough to be effective and is actually what I used to get his plates with. This took place in Harrison County........

Scary Encounter This Morning

I was out in the middle of nowhere this morning, checking oil wells in the rain, when I got a little surprise. It had rained here all last night, so the roads were very bad and I was having trouble getting up this road to one of my wells, but I noticed a set of very fresh tracks of someone that had ...

Re: Latest edition to the cabinet

Edited for language; bare in mind I did 24 years in the military and now work in the oil fields, so I can and do easily fall off the cussin' wagon.

Latest edition to the cabinet

I'd just like to thank the president for staying of the TV long enough for my stocks to finally make the $18.00 sale I had ordered. I had decided to sell a few shares and finally get the new rifle I'd been wanting for so long, but every time they got with-in 20 cents of the sale price, he would get ...

There I was, surrounded by State Troopers.....

My wife had a minor medical procedure done today in Shreveport and we had to be at the hospital at 5:30 this morning. At around 7:30 they came and took her away for her procedure and I moved into the surgical waiting room for the duration. I decided I needed to sample some of the waiting room coffee...

Re: Dog encounter

I am a dog lover and have never found a dog I couldn't back down by standing my ground. That being said, I would of put myself between the stroller and the dog; had it made an attack it would have been me getting bitten and of course it would of been shot at that point. Law enforcement would probabl...

Bossier City Boardwalk is Posted

I had promised the wife a nice steak dinner this week at the Saltgrass Steak House. It being on the Boardwalk in Bossier City, I thought I'd better check just to make sure it was legal to carry there. Come to find out the entire Board walk, with the exception of the Bass Pro Shop, is illegal to carr...

Re: Police not happy about relazation of TX CHL law

Is it just me or do all the officers become anti-2nd amendment when they get to the top? In Texas, it's perfectly legal to carry a loaded weapon in your car, with out a license, as long as it's concealed; you have no legal responsibility to inform an officer of that weapon if you are stopped. Yet up...

Re: My friend was mugged

I have no doubt that I would have pulled my wallet out and dropped it at his feet as I drew and opened fire on him. Since it didn't happen to me, we can't say how it would have turned out for me, but one of us would have been getting shot.

Second body found in three months

Me being new here, you guys don't know that I work for an oil company in Texas as an oil and gas well production tech. It's great work, the pay is good and we are out in the wilderness all the time. The down side is we are alone all day in the middle of nowhere, so we have to be really careful not t...

Re: Ruined an IWB holster today.

The supertuck came in yesterday and I've been carrying with it since I got it. It is very comfy so far and should only get better as the horse hide pad wears in. It is by far a better rig than I shot up last week and I like how close it holds the weapon to my body; it is no doubt concealed, even wit...

Re: Picked up a new Sig

Well I finally had a chance to take it our and see what she's made of. After an initial cleaning, I ran 200 rounds of Remington Thunderbolts through it with out a single problem. I also was happy to see it was dead on accurate at 40 feet. The recoil is pleasant, yet will be enough to keep the wife i...
