Javieljb...send a PM to CompVest. She teaches the Women's Program at PSC in Friendswood. It's a wonderful program that starts with the basics at every single class, but still provides some challenges for those that are comfortable with shooting. You do not have to be a member of PSC to go to participate.

In line with the topic of this thread....coming from a wife...when I got my CHL, I wasn't all pro-gun. My husband was anxious and excited to get his. I felt bad because I wasn't excited at all! When williamkevin started carrying it felt weird to me. It "felt" like paranoia because it was different than what I was used to. It was MONTHS after I got my CHL before I carried regularly. The difference between then and now...because those of you that I have read my posts know that I LOVE shooting...is participating in the Women's Program as well as having a little time to feel comfortable with a lifestyle change. At the Women's Program we talk about more than fundamental shooting skills and safety. The instructors talk about being responsible for your own protection, about being responsible for protecting your children if your husband is not with you....and when it's a conversation among women, it's different than hearing it from any other man, including your husband.
