Re: Cedar Park Police Department No Guns?
Given the peace officer's right to disarm, would that apply in our courthouse situation. A metal detector has been installed just inside the entrance of the court house. It is the only entrance and has 1 or 2 police officers manning it. There is a sign posting forbidding all weapons. I wonder if it ...

After a long wait............
Plastic in hand Saturday. Not only took a Wally World work, but an Abuleo's/Lowe's/Auto Zone walk as well.

Re: 100+ Club
Mr. *****, I contacted DPS on your behalf yesterday. I was told that your "application had been processed and he would be receiving his CHL within the next 10 days to a week." Please let us know if you do not get your license before the Thanksgiving holiday. Janice McCoy Chief of Staff Sen...

Re: 100+ Club
Just emailed my representatives. We'll see what happens from there I guess. Sad part is my father in law got his back at the beginning of September. He hadn't even been checking the website, and found it in his mailbox. I've been checking way too often.........for months now. Anyone had any luck wit...

Re: 100+ Club
Any other 100+ folks still in here? I sent my app to the state in June. After sending in my photos for the 3rd time at the beginning of October, I find myself still waiting. I'm assuming now they must start the "clock" over everytime something is resubmitted. Six months in, I'm sure tired ...

Re: 100+ Club
Found out through an email that my pictures were satisfactory this time. I had sent them in the first time (too grainy), and the second time (no officer's signature, even though they said they had it on file), and finally the third time it's a charm. We'll see I guess.

Re: Application sent back..........again
Called Austin. They said I'm supposed to have the signature of both, even on the replacement pictures (which is not what the first lady told me). When I asked her for the officer's name who fingerprinted me, she said it doesn't have to be that officer, just an officer's signature and badge number. A...

Application sent back..........again
My app was sent back originally for grainy photos. When I talked to the folks in Austin, they said to send just sign one of the pics, and send it back in, as they had the photo with both signatures. They specifically said to sign it, and not worry about the fingerprinter's signature. I was in a hurr...

My packet came back again for my pictures. Apparently I didn't sign the resend's.
Maybe I can get it before Christmas.

Re: July 2009 Applications
Just curious if you July folks have been checking May and June, the way I've been checking April and May for my June submission. The PIN did make me feel like I was making progress, but I've sure grown tired of seeing "Processing Application".

Re: Resending Pictures.........
Well, don't pat the DPS too hard on the back just yet. I took the CHL class with my father-in-law and my wife's best friend. All three of us have had our app held up for something. My father-in-law didn't have the pictures signed by the fingerprinter, my wife's best friend had her FBI prints c...

Re: Resending Pictures.........
Let came in. The pictures were too "blurry". That's an understatement. I didn't really give it much notice, until they came back and I compared them to my new ones I had done. Off it goes in the mail today!

Resending Pictures.........
As mentioned on a previous thread, I found out I'm going to need new pictures to send in. My application status still says "processing application", but the lady at DPS told me they were sending me out a letter requesting them. My question is, do I have to wait for the letter to send in th...
