Welcome, sneedb82 & CDH.
As you've both been lurking, I'm sure it's obvious that there is a lot of knowledge and interesting info here.
I hope you don't do like me and stray from the forum for a long period of time, as it's the good folks here
that make it so interesting.

Panic911,
Hello, and thank you for your service. I'm former Army and know what it means to have served. (hence, my signature)
It's also good to see someone of my age here. Although I have been seeing more of them recently. Good to see others getting their CHL.
I have recently left the waiting room, but try to help those that are still there. Hang in there, it's worth the wait.
As a father of a 5months old, congradulations on fatherhood. I don't have any of my own, but did have a stepdaughter through the teenage/highschool years. I'm sure you will appreciate the 10yo daughter rule here in the forum.
I gotta tell ya, it was fun sharpening a knife, or cleaning a gun when young suiters came to take the teenage stepdaughter out on a date. It may be a long time away, but look forward to it. OMG So fun!
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome WEC,
Nice to see someone else my age here. You're right, the folks here are very friendly, and very gracious with their knowledge and experience.
Also good to see another soon-to-be CHLer. Just got my card today. I tell ya, it's a good feeling to have a .45 strapped on while out and about in this day in age.

Just signed up!
I am new to the CHL community. I have taken my class, and can foresee no problem with getting my CHL. Given that I am former-Army, have no criminal history, and have worked for Harris County as a Jailer. I have yet to receive my license, but expect to as soon as the state gets around to it. I have browsed the forum for a little while this afternoon, and find it very informative. I consider it a great find. Now as for the statistics:
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Profession: Service Tech./Construction
Marital Status: Divorced (Thank God)
Years CHL: New (soon)
Texas State Representative / House District: Rob Eissler / District 15
Carry Guns / Equipment: Kel-Tec P3AT BUG in Galco U.S.A. IWB holster and H&K USP .45 in Galco F.L.E.T.C.H. holster
Yes, I can conceal the big rear H&K .45 My large body frame permits it. As mentioned earlier, I do not yet have my CHL, so I have no experiences to speak of, but my equipment is ready and tried at home.
