I wonder if it is part of the Twitter purge happening since it appears the Elon Musk deal to buy Twitter is apparently back on. But it seems mostly bots are being removed, so I'm guessing you are probably correct. Did not find anything on a Google search for the past 30 days about him.

Reviving this thread as we don't really know anything, but Patrick Howley, former reporter for Breitbart, Washington Free Beacon and The Daily Caller and assistant editor for The American Spectator dropped a few bombs on Twitter about this yesterday. Not sure of his credibility, but he has broken legitimate stories such as KKK/blackface Virginia Governor Northam and other stories. So take this for what it's worth, but I seem to remember discussion of involvement of the Saudi Royal Family that just all talk of it disappeared.
