If you were arrested for the PI and fingerprinted, you'll need to get a certified document from the court that says they have no records of the incident. I had them give me a certified records search from the year before the incident to the current date. It just said "No records found." That was good enough for DPS as long as it isn't something that would disqualify you even if there were records.brewdawg wrote:The problem is that I am not sure what they are asking about. The only case was a PI while I was in college back in 1991. I contacted the court and they said they have no records back that far. So I am not sure what to do. I guess I will wait until I get the letter and see what it says.

Re: December 2009 Applications
Did you send in documentation from the court regarding the disposition with your packet? If not that's probably what they want and you could proceed with obtaining it now to save some time.brewdawg wrote:Looks like mine is going to take a while longer. I got excited by all of y'alls recent approvals so I gave them a call. Supposedly a letter has been sent explaining that they need more info on a disposition. That is all the girl could tell me. So now I am waiting on the letter to find out what they are wanting.

Re: December 2009 Applications
Mine got approved today, so I wouldn't fret too much. Someone is still burning the midnight oil.OldSchool wrote: The packets arrived at DPS on 12/23. Status today (12/29) still says "Packets delivered to applicant." Might not be anyone in the office during the holiday weeks, I suppose, so we expect an automatic 2-week delay.![]()
And, Mrs. OldSchool is now registered on the forum as DynaBlue!

If everything goes like my app did then you should see you status changed to ( Application Complete )by Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Which, I would think the plastic will be in either Saturday of that week or Monday the following week. Good luck!
That's just what I'm guessing.

Re: December 2009 Applications
I wish I had sent mine in right after my class instead of dinking around. I have an out of state background check that will have to be done and I have a feeling the holidays are going to gum up the works. They received my packet the day before thanksgiving. Come on DPS!USA1 wrote: Looks like about a month (in some cases) according to some of the last folks to receive their plastic.
