Honestly, I think they might. My wife's application got sent in with a missing ZIP code for a previous employer. They sent the application back to be fixed, she sent it back in, and then like two days after they received it the background check flipped to complete. Maybe if the job had ended up being in a different county it would have been delayed again while they checked there, but it was for the same county as her residences and other jobs.budroux2w wrote: I don't see why they don't start the local check when the fee is submitted since the affidavits are all online now...

Re: June 2010 applications
I think it is just luck of the draw. I had an out of state background check and an old arrest and it went through really fast (around a month, I think), especially considering my application time included thanksgiving, christmas, and new years.Texas Size 11 wrote:I think my BGC is going to take longer than normal since they have to check a couple of states and a few counties...budroux2w wrote:The BGC can vary. There are people that sent on or around the same as me and the BGC has already cleared. My finger prints have been clear for just over 2 weeks... still waiting on my BGC.TXBassGuide wrote:Although I am still waiting on my Background Check to clear, but about how longer should I expect to wait for my plastic after my status shows "Fingerprints Completed"? Does the Background Check usually clear shortly after the fingerprints are done? How much more mailbox-watching is in my future?

Re: June 2010 applications
My wife's login started working again. Unfortunately the first message was that something was incomplete with the application and they've mailed something back. I have no idea what it could be, we both looked it over several times before sending it in and it seemed okay. We shall see.canvasbck wrote:Day before yesterday, I got to the "unable to log you in, please apply under new license" type message. Yesterday I was back to the "too many login attempts" message. Well that is lame. If you end up calling, I'd be interested to know if they can reset the website so that it works again for you.canvasbck wrote: Day before yesterday, I got to the "unable to log you in, please apply under new license" type message.
