Chris covered it pretty well, the C&R is the way to go. Have had mine for going on 4 years now and have never regretted it. There are so many deals on military surplus C&R rifles out there it is silly. In my opinion the "must have" rifles that are floating around at the moment are ...

I can only imagine what one of those things costs. I would keep them running as close to 24x7 as possible too given the amount of investment!

Well, according to PC 46.035, the "premises" of the school does not include "any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area." I would read taht to say that as long as you stay strictly to the sidewalks and parking l...

Really big, super huge, gigantic....

cranes!!

OK, I know this is OT, but I was carrying my SIG P232 under the authority of my CHL, driving northbound to Dallas on IH-45 when I saw the two biggest cranes I have ever seen in my life about 6 miles north of Buffalo.

Does anybody know what in the world they are excavating????

Just think what it's like when the dingbat that throws the door open all the time is your wife..... I often come home later in the evening (around 8pm) and will find the garage door open, the door from the garage into the house open, and my wife upstairs blissfully unaware upstairs bathing the kids....

j1132s, thanks for sharing this! It is tough to admit defeat, but this post could really help others. One other thing to point out to anyone teaching newbies is that once you get to the firing line try to run more lanes than you have instructors. Let them take turns. You were very smart to start at ...

Hurricanes are only one potential disaster scenario in H-Town, so I pretty well stay at a "level orange" state of preparedness. Have 10 Gals of fuel and 60 Gals of water stored, and about a week of food. I have decided to either leave VERY early, or if that isn't possible hunker down. Like...

This is one part that concerns me. I try not to have a rigid schedule outside my work schedule. If I feel like going to the grocery or Walmart or visit a friend on a whim, I do so. How do you guys work 30.06 places into your schedule? Do you leave your handgun in your car? I generally avoid anywher...

Re: Former Marine Foils Armed Robbery

They say no charges will be filed against the victim in the case. Seems like more often recently the media is starting to get this right!! That is one brave individual, although it goes to show you that most criminals don't expect you to fight back, and are generally stunned when you do. Kudos to t...

longtooth, I have a Galco Yaqui Belt Slide that I don't use much (well, really almost never...), and would be interested in trying out your CTAC.

Wanna trade loaners?

PM me if you're interested.
