Partially. I called last month to specifically verify that they do not check for IRS tax liens. The phone taker who answered, and e said yes they do. I asked her if she was positively for sure.....she said "no, hold on a minute and I'll let you talk to an admin.specialist." I asked her the same question....."no, absolutely not. We don't check with the IRS. We couldn't care what IRS does. But what we DO care is about is state tax liens, any taxing authority within the state, and unpaid student loans." And the student loan section of the statute is going away as of Sept. 01 due to amending the original law.

State & local tax liens are a basis for denial of license. Federal tax liens are not.
Unless you fill out a 4506 they are not getting anything from the irs without a federal subpoena.

They do check texas taxes. Mostly property, sales & use and bpp.

Ditto what you said on SL.

Re: 100+ Club

Well, as of today, Aug 11, I am at 95 days and still PA. I called today, tried to be as nice as possible, was told, "everything is done, we are just waiting to send it to print". "We use an outside contractor to print the licenses".

My response was, "wow, there is a wait to print, why", while thinking- just up and get all the damn licenses that are done and send em to print.

Did not get an answer.

Anyway, she said "couple weeks". I almost trust that.

:thumbs2:
