If you want open carry or any other pro-gun legislation, don't expect it out of Bill White. He was a member of Bloomberg's infamous group of gun banners until recently when he decided to run for higher office. He was on record as knowing the real agenda of that group. Look up his bio on Wikipedia. He served under the Clintons too. He likes New York style gun laws. Perry is your best bet. The TSRA gives him the thumbs up too. On their website, you will find a list of people running for office and their rating.
