DH got "me" a 1911 but I did not care for the weight. Also the trigger pull was very hard. He is in the process of redoing many things (as men will) and I am sure it will be as smooth as glass, but I like my G19. I am comfortable with it and proficient, maybe someday I will reclaim that 1911, but for now I am happy. It's easier to conceal because it's slimmer, but, dang, that thing weighs a ton!
