Wow es4Me I see what you are talking about, what a mess.
Maybe your husband didn't sound excited because he was thinking about your feelings and didn't want you to feel bad.

Re: August 2009 Applications
I have been looking at getting a Ruger LCP but now I’m not sure. I have been carrying my Taurus 24/7 pro compact 9 mm in an IWB holster at the small of my back with absolutely no problem concealing it I even wore it with a tee-shirt pulled over it. If you wear a tee-shirt and a button down shirt over it pulled out and unbuttoned you can carry just about anything back there. I got the holster from the NRA Christmas catalog, and think it is called an IWB fast draw holster. It is not even that uncomfortable when driving in the car, you may have to adjust your lumbar support. I think the only reason I would need the LCP is for a bathing suit. HaHa.

Re: August 2009 Applications
Well the holster I ordered from The NRA Christmas catalog came in a little over two weeks ago but I ordered the wrong size. I sent it back and they sent me the right size last week.
I know it sounds bad but I have not made the Wally walk yet. I did carry my 9mm in the small of my back all weekend. We went to the Zoo, stayed at the Marriott went out to diner, breakfast, Ross and Target but never made it to Wally world.
I must say I was very comfortable carrying and I am looking at getting an LCP or the new Taurus TCP for a pocket carry so I will never be without no matter what I wear.

One thing I've not mentioned previously is my wife and I took the class together, submitted at the same time and her plastic arrived yesterday. She beat me by a day. Looks like it will be a hand in hand, pistol in pistol Wally Walk.

Re: August 2009 Applications
It didn't take very long to get mine, I can't see 4 months. I did call a couple of times for different reasons but the first time the lady who answered the phone said it would be several months. I got it in 64 days. Keep your hopes up.
