Re: IWB vs OWB in Texas
So, for Father’s day I got a 1911 and an OWB that I carry on a daily basis. This is by far the most comfortable way I have found to carry. I can throw on a t-shirt and not think twice about it. With the slimness of the 1911 the t-shirt covers the gun and OWB holster great. +1 I carry an officers mo...

Re: Police: Officer ‘horseplaying’ before wreck
What if this extremely reckless, totally irresponsible action would have killed your son or daughter driving on that same road. Something to think about. There is absolutely no excuse.

Re: Police: Officer ‘horseplaying’ before wreck
:iagree: First off I hope he recovers, I generally don't wish ill upon others. Second, just about every single police officer to ever walk this earth speeds and disobeys countless traffic laws without any fear of legal penalties; it disgusts me too. He should be let go for what he did, he's lucky h...

Re: Buy a Glock or S&W or save for the Sig?
I have decided to buy a .40 cal handgun. My next question is this, and I know that this will start a debate between polymer & steel. Should I go ahead and buy a Glock or Smith & Wesson M&P or save my money and buy the Sig. Or buy the Glock or S&W now and save the money latter and bu...

Re: Springfield XD 40 Subcompact
Very nice looking pistola. Did it come with any amenities, like extra mag, loader or maybe a kydex holster like some of its big brothers?

Re: The Perils of Printing??
Just as a followup from the original post two weeks ago, I'm now not the least bit concerned about printing. I now just throw my 9mm in the Don Hume OWB and go with it. After a couple of weeks, I'm quite comfortable and simply don't care if I'm printing or not. The experience shared in this thread i...

Re: Springfield XD 40 Subcompact
I'll be looking forward to the range report. It's one of the pistons on my short list when I get rid of my .380's. Figured I'd trade them in at Tomball Pawn. Have you investigated the holster choices for that weapon?

Re: uh oh I got a letter today...
Now the wait is on again! :txflag: I applaud your persistence and dedication on cleaning things up, and following through on getting your CHL. Some could have just packed it in. As a recently anointed CHL’er, I can guarantee you after you receive the plastic, all the effort will be well worth it. K...

Re: Anyone carry blanks?
well, I'll carry cause I KNOW I'll do whatever it takes to protect my family. this idea came from one of the scenarios the CHL instructor brought up in class. You walk towards the Wally in the parking lot and someone comes at you from 20-30 feet with a knife in his hand. You pull your gun out. Do y...

Re: Piracy pays -- for now
What I don't understand is why the US Navy is not more active in the area. I think the problem is that the pirates avoid naval vessels; and once the pirates take a ship, they say they will kill the crew if they are attacked. Some do, some don't. I'm sure there are other folks that remember this rec...
