Re: Approval/Registration Process for 30.06 Sign???

I suppose that is possible, we are in Dallas, actually Richardson. I'll ask them if that might be what the instructor was referring to.

Re: Approval/Registration Process for 30.06 Sign???

Thanks for the responses, you all confirmed what I already thought, but I just wanted to be sure I wasn't sleeping during that portion of the class or something changed since I took it.

Thanks again!

Approval/Registration Process for 30.06 Sign???

Hi,

Two colleagues of mine just took their renewal class this past weekend and asked me about something they were told. First, our building is properly posted so this is why they brought it up.

They were told that there is some sort of approval process or registration that a business needs to go through with the city, municipality, county, or state before they can put up the sign. Something like how some cities require you to register with the PD when you have an alarm system at your home.

This was completely new to me, I have never heard of anything like that in the several years that I have been following the forums. I have always thought that the business owner or someone with his authority could put up the sign, and provided the sign met the requirements, it was enforceable. Is there more to it than that?

On a semi-related thought, would a sign be enforceable if some anti-gun nut went around town putting up valid signs on other people's businesses?

Thanks in advance,
Rob
