I've been in Texas for a little over a decade and finally got off my rear went out and got a 1911 for me, a 9 mm for the missus (so she'd stop using my nice 45), and I just finished the CHL course a few weeks ago. I mostly inhabit m1911.org, but have been lurking here for a week or so and I finally decided to take the plunge and get involved.
