Re: FOIA Request Wording Re:30.06e (Govt Entity)
The CAD idea is a good one. To make it easier/less expensive, you should simply request all property data sheets for each government entity in the county, and list them out, i.e. City, county, state of Texas, etc. Also, many have their websites set up to search by owner. You can just type in the nam...

Re: FOIA Request Wording Re:30.06e (Govt Entity)
As someone who processes Open Records requests for a living, I can tell you that your request is a non-starter. You have the following issues at least: 1. The Tx PIA only applies to DOCUMENTS that are ALREADY in existence. The way your request is worded, you are not asking for documents, just inform...

Re: Sugar Land mayor robbed at gunpoint in his driveway
Yeah, Sugar Land is pretty wealthy but you can stand at the City limits and hit slum conditions with a baseball. I used to work for the City there and one of our biggest problems was all of the rifraf comming in from Htown, robbing everyone, and then going back. It will only get worse.

Re: MUD properties government entity owned?
Yes, MUD's are government agencies, or "political subdivisions" of the state, just like City's, County's, School Districts, etc. etc. Most levy a property tax (but not all) and have elected boards. As a matter of fact, they are even authorized to create their own Police Departments! They a...

Re: PA CHL is a bit primative
When considering the "saving" of $26 Vs $140 I would take paper any day of the week, even if it looked a little homemade. Yeah, I spent a good chunk of money (for me) on buying a handgun, license fees, class costs, ammo, etc. I couldn't really justify putting many more FRNs into this litt...

PA CHL is a bit primative
Got my Non Res PA CHL today. :cheers2: I had planned to use it as a backup for my Tx CHL, just in case I ever forgot to carry it. Well, now I'm kinda wondering if any self respecting LEO is going to accept it as a valid permit. For those who don't know, the license itself is a 3 X 5 paper form with ...

Re: Question About Display of License
Oh well, I guess I'll just get my PA Non-Resident and maybe a few others to make sure I've always got a license with a gun.
(at least until 2011)

Question About Display of License
Ok, I have some noob questions, please forgive me if it's been posted in the past but I didn't see any threads about it. My questions relate to the penalty for not displaying your license. I know that the penalty associated with not showing your license was removed, and at first I thought it was ena...

Re: July 2009 Applications
Howdy fellow July applicants! :tiphat: Well, I didn't want to post any more depressing "processing application" posts, so I waited until DPS gave me my "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" prompt to join up. Now I believe I am entitled to a little of thi...
