Re: Myself
Not very many carry . In fact can't think of any that do. Navy guy and the volunteer still brothers too me. That's one thing that firefighters have for life brotherhood. I welcome you both. Been a fireman for 15 years and that's one of the things I love about my job. As far as CHL at calls you may be able too due to civilian duty. I can't carry while on duty.

Re: Myself
I grew up on the southside but the last 5 years was in Minooka IL. Had a son and it was getting bad. Told the wife its time to go. I am a NRA member and looking at joining the Texas version (sorry forgot the name). Some of my best memories with my son have been this year with us going to Elm Fork range and the Bullet trap indoor range. In Illinois my son was not allowed to shoot at a indoor range. That was never possible until we moved here. I love this new freedom. Even with that I can promise all the members that my son and I have the most respect for any gun. We treat them correctly. My 11 year old son would blow away the average adult when it comes to gun safety. I know it doesnt really matter to the average person here but I realize that im the yankee and dont want to make the CHL license ever a neg issue in my house with the anti-gunners and news media.

Re: Myself
Yes I received it in July. Im training myself to carry 24/7. As ive learned expect it when you least expect it. My wife finally quit asking do u have it. She assumes I do. Funny because I use a shoulder holster,Smart Carry Holster,OWB blackhawk holster. She never knows were its located. She allways walks on the opposite side of were it is. Im working on her but she is from a no gun family. Not anti gun just never owned. She has 2 brothers that are Marines and only one of them still owns a handgun. My father grew up on a farm in Michigan. His father my grandfather had a rifle in every room. My dad would shoot all day 1000 rounds and do his own reloading when he was a kid. Different time in the world.
