Re: September 2009 Applications
Wow, it appears that we are exactly one week difference. The DPS must process these things in big batches. It seems that a bunch of people who submit their apps in a certain time frame all meet a new status at the same time...jsimmons wrote:Wouldn't ya know it - I start to get snarky about the delay from receipt to processing, and mine changes to processing. I still think they could work faster.
If they don't find anything wrong with my application, I could be looking at mid/late November for plastic. Now the really tense waiting begins. Is my application okay? I looked at my pics and prints before I sent them, and they certainly seemed fine to me. Did I sign everything that needed signing? Did I fart at the correct point while filling out the application?
They claim that the FBI check is now the bottleneck. As many times as I've had a background check int he last 10 years (working for a defense contractor), you'd think they'd have my data in their "Favorites" menu. :)

Re: September 2009 Applications
Yeah, hopefully. I love how this forum allows us to see exactly how long the DPS is taking at every step. It is probably our monitoring and responses that caused them to hire more people to meet the 60 day deadline.jsimmons wrote:Well, it looks like mine might move to that stage next week then since they got mine the day after yours...milo wrote:Awesome! Yeah, I know your pain...joe817 wrote:Congrats milo, that wasn't to long of a wait. Hope the rest of your waiting is as short. And now you can officially check your status allllllll you want. I'm doing better. I'm only checking like 6 or 7 times a day now.
