Gosh...missed it barres...congrats there....glad to hear it finally arrived...I know that TR-100 was your real bummer!!!! LOL...well carry well n safe when off work!!barres wrote:Received my CHL on Wednesday 6/14. 93 days from app originally being signed for in Austin, and 43 days from TR-100 being signed for after returning it to me because I forgot to sign the thing.
I cannot carry at work, because I work on a prison facility, but I have been packing while running some errands of the evenings. I have to keep reminding myself that everyone does not know that I'm armed.
barres wrote:Congrats Jgue and Bones! I wish I could say things were going so well, myself. I finally got a letter from the DPS with my PIN over the weekend. 75 days after they got my application originally, 25 days after they got my signed TR-100 back, and 33 days after they e-mailed this PIN to me! So things may be moving faster for some, but not for all of us.

He just got his prints back (rejected). Then he goes to a cop shop to have them done electronically. They mess up one thumb print and smug (badly) his computer spelled name on the fingerprint card. He's going back on Saturday to have his fingerprints taken again.... Wish this guy luck, it could be another 90 days.

The DPS Col. testified in a hearing conducted during a 2004 Interim Study that DPS was not running late on any CHL's and hasn't been in years. Well, the .
Thanks,

Ha....yeah...told my wife what you said re: the re-take of fingerprints the other day and she went ballastic...i.e. the additional delay...lol! Like you and signature. She has arthritis in her fingers and prints are difficult for her...She admisters the "kids fingerprinting" program at her local Y. As soon as she came back into the training room from the photos, notary and prints time/area on CHL day...she whispered that her prints would never make it!....barres wrote:Congratulations Diode and Skipper! Unfortunately, this just makes me even madder at myself for not signing the Blasted TR-100. The DPS got my application originally on March 13, so I probably could have had my CHL (at least on the way) by now.
Please excuse me for a moment while I go kick myself, again.
Ha...thanks RedRaider....glad to see you're still checkin in on us!!RedRaider wrote:Congrats Diode and Skipper, patience has paid off. Looks like a trip to Walmart is in your near future.
