We are waiting to see, but it appears that the majority of Harris County may be Democrat. It was pretty much a Democrat sweep for countywide elections. I still need to check the judicial races.

Chas.
I was really surprised the existing Harris County Sheriff was replaced by a Democrat, it seemed the Republican ran a good campaign and unlike the DA race the campaign seemed to be favoring the Republican.

Re: Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

Soros money allowed Kim Ogg to plaster TV adds constantly about a rape victim who was put in jail to prevent her from leaving town, so she could testify at the trial of the man she accused of raping her. Unfortunately the jailers thought that she was the rapist and so consequently she was not well treated during her time in jail.

The charging of the wrong people in the Planned Parenthood case did not come up as apparently both sides like abortion.

Chas.
Since I do not live in Harris County. I will not be voting for either. My comment was not a political statement. Right is right and wrong is wrong regardless which party one belongs to.

I also didn't say anyone specific including the DA. My comment and anger is towards whomever pursued their agenda by indicting the whistleblowers and not the criminals that kill babies and sell body parts. The videos are Very clear what was going on.

Again, my comment was not meant to be political as I know very little about the details of Harris County politics.
This comes on top of a rape victim being jailed to insure she would testify. Then as I understand, due to a mistyping of her information, rather than being given a private cell, she is put in with the general population as a rapist.

Maybe a liberal would be better. It would certainly send a message.

Re: Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

The video that was shot here in Houston of Planned Parenthood shows discussing accounting on baby body parts, so that the end user does not have to pay for unusable body parts.

"Farrell explains to Daleiden and Merritt over lunch that her department – which has overseen the organization’s fetal tissue supply program since 2006 — “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here.”"

The two activists, Daleiden and Merritt, will be turning themselves into the police today.

This says that the Planned Parenthood attorneys came up with the charges against the pair.

Re: Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

The most serious charge is the fake drivers licenses. Apparently Planned Parenthood keeps a data base of the names of anti abortion activists, so the pair needed drivers licenses with different names than their own to get in to talk to Planned Parenthood. The pair are from California.

An out of state drivers license that is fake is a felony while a fake Texas drivers license is only a misdemeanor.

The DA is apparently 100% behind throwing the book at the two anti abortion activists. It was not an accident that this happened.

Previously on the radio the defense team had suggested that the charges might be dropped. But today's statements pretty much quash that.

Today someone with information on the UT Galveston Med Center tissue purchases said they want to turn over all kinds of information on Planned Parenthood here in Houston.

No one has been able to answer me as to whether the opportunity to Primary the DA in Harris County has passed or if she is being even apposed by a Democrat. Lots of talk on the radio about how she is really a good Conservative and apposes abortion, but that this is where the evidence went and she has no choice but to uphold the law.

Seems there is a lot of this upholding the law against Conservative causes, but letting the law slide on Liberal causes. I just thought I would not see it here in Houston.

Re: Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

One Houston talk show had someone on who seemed to know about the charges. Near as I can tell one of the charges is for attempting to purchase organs, the other is for having fake California Drivers licenses, which I guess were used to create the false identity.

I guess the district attorney in Houston is next going to go after everyone in Houston's 19 and 20 year old children.

I suspect the law is written that you cannot purchase human organs. Thus they are saying an organ of a fetus is human. If a fetus is human, then killing a fetus would then be murder, if I am following their logic.

Re: Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

I went to Reddit and found a similar link. I went to the comments, there were already 68. All were cheering, many said for once they were proud of Houston and Texas. There was not a single unfavorable comment.

The District Attorney is Devon Anderson. She is the widow of the previous district attorney who died in office and was appointed by the Governor. She may have been reelected one time and stands for reelection in 2016.

"New York State chief judge Sol Wachtler was famously quoted by Tom Wolfe in The Bonfire of the Vanities that "a grand jury would 'indict a ham sandwich,' if that's what you wanted.""

No doubt this will have a chilling effect on undercover videos in Houston.

Houston Grand Jury indicts pair behind Planned Parenthood videos

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas ... 782865.php

The Houston District Attorney and the grand jury investigated and found Planned Parenthood was innocent of any crime, but that the evidence led the grand jury to indict the undercover anti abortion folks. Apparently they are being charged with soliciting baby body parts and I think setting up a fake business to mislead the Planned Parenthood folks.

Surprising outcome.
