Most 'big name instructors' cost $700 for 20 students in a big class, $14,000.
Yes, I know it goes into the general fund but I don't think the legislature intends to lose money on the CHL program. :) I bet they are making money on the $25 they charge vets.

I don't see why it should cost more than $100. The did a 40 hour class for $100. They must be really making money on the instructor renewals.

We will have to 'qualify' to become school instructors. No word yet on what said qualification will be. I believe the school employees/CHLs will have to take approx 15 hours training. When the CHL course was 10 hours, we had to take 27 to 40 hours of training from DPS. That may give you an idea of what it will take.
They just finished retraining all the instructors AND a new instructor class. Maybe they will have a chance to plan the school program.
However, Sherri and her staff are still real busy processing CHL apps.
