There's certainly no BBQ losing anything over, BUT the instant we LET terrorists terrorize us by changing the way we live then, SURPRISE! The terrorists win! Shortly after 9/11, I bought plane tickets to fly to Europe with the Mrs. Why? Because I wanted the terrorists know that they've accomplished NOTHING! We Texans cannot be bullied (besides, the tickets were half off).

The very fact that she still works in the 'hood UNARMED after her coworker was SHOT kinda hints that she's one tough cookie, eh? You don't know how many times I've begged her to get another job, but she insists, "Why should I let the thugs terrorize me? If I do that, then they win." Besides, if you've ever been married, you'll know that they (women) like to have their way and if they don't, they can make your life pretty miserable. So, if she wants BBQ, then guess what? I'm packin' (secretly, don't tell her!) and we're going out for BBQ.

Yea, I don't carry because my workplace has security guards. Yea, I know it's kinda foolish, but a gun is a real party pooper because they are usually a real drag because they're heavy and bulky. If I can find an excuse not to carry, then I don't carry. Besides, if I'm discovered, then I'm fired. I do carry a pack of QuickClot, just in case....

Oh, and the bit about her wanting to shoot me, that's a joke (I'm drJOKER, remember?)...

Y'all's wives sound just like my wife. She recently got a CHL, but she has NEVER carried. Not even after her co-worker was shot on the job. Not after her other co-worker was stalked and had a home invasion by the stalker. Nope. My wife works in Oak Cliff and she is either very stubborn or very brave.

We both got the CHL as a political statement to support our constitutional rights as patriots. But, I never carry since my workplace has security guards. She won't let me have any guns at home. I've given all my guns away to my father and best friend. They let me shoot their guns.

Hmmm... do our wives talk to each other or know each other???



P.S. Hey, Embalmo, yes, my wife is ALSO afraid of guns, but she has a CHL. Just what is she afraid of, you may ask? My wife says that I sometimes annoy her and if I annoy her enough, she's afraid that she might SHOOT ME . Hey, I can't argue with that.

P.P.S. The only time that we're ever armed is when we go to South Dallas to dine on fried chicken (William's) or BBQ (Hardemann's or Brother's) after dark.
