Re: Carrying at the Post Office

I think my post office manager is reading this thread because it wasn't posted last week, but it IS posted now. Ugh, looks like the post office and even the parking lot is off limits. I may have to risk towing and park across the street then walk to the post office. Ugh, risk the small possibility of a big felony or risk the big possibility of a smaller tow fee? Ugh, looks like I'll park across the street and risk the tow. I'm gonna donate to the legal fund of that feller suing the post office for the right to carry. I suggest that you do the same. BTW, who is that feller and how do I donate?

:iagree: and if your wife and lawyer are in cahoots, get a new layer to handle the divorce.
[soapbox]It is disgusting to jokingly encourage a guy to get a divorce

Can you imagine him printing out this thread and showing his wife tonight? whose husband is hanging her out to dry.[/soapbox]
Er... I certainly hope that I'm NOT "hanging her out to dry" because she does read my posts. And "in cahoots" doesn't mean anything tawdry. I'm just saying that they both (lawyer and wife) tell me not to carry every time I ask them about it. People in America don't take marriage seriously enough. 50-60% of marriages end in divorce. Most African-American babies are born without a father. etc, etc. Marriages are hard work. Why? Because you are DIFFERENT people so you will have DIFFERENCES. Thanks for defending me, HP, but I think those guys were kidding (I hope). When I meet y'all at the next social, DPC shoot, etc, I'll buy y'all a round of drinks.

Re: Carrying at the Post Office

My anti-gun wife just looked over my shoulder and read these posts. "The laws are ambiguous. If you get caught you're gonna end up in jail. Guns are more trouble than they're worth. Your lawyer is right. Don't carry your gun to the Post Office."

So, now, my wife and my lawyer are in cahoots. Ugh....

Anyways, so, what's the verdict? My post office is NOT posted. Can I carry? I usually check my p.o. box at 4 a.m. in the morning due to irregular work hours. It would be nice if I could carry.

Re: Carrying at the Post Office

I've avoided carrying at the post office due to what I've read on the forum. However, I don't see a 30.06 sign at the post office. Don't they have to give notification? There used to be a "no guns" sign in front of the post office, but they've taken it down. Does that mean carry away? I'm confused. I asked my anti-gun lawyer and he said, "Well, why don't you jest leave the gun at home?" Ugh.... (no guns at home, but that's a different story for another day....) I gotta find a new lawyer....
